Fishing Weather

Terms of Use

Last updated: August 22, 2026

Accepting these terms

These terms govern your use of Fishing Weather on the web, on iOS, and on Android — the forecasts, verdicts, maps, alerts, and related features we provide (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What Fishing Weather is

Fishing Weather is a decision aid: it combines weather and environmental forecasts into a simple GO, MAYBE, or SKIP verdict to help you decide whether and when to fish. It is an informational tool for your own judgment — nothing more.

Not professional advice

The Service is not maritime, navigation, safety, emergency, legal, medical, or any other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for any of them. Nothing in the Service is an instruction to go out on the water or to stay home.

Forecasts can be wrong, and conditions change fast

Weather, water, tide, and forecast data may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong, and conditions on the water can change quickly and without warning. A GO verdict is not a promise of safe conditions, and a forecast for a water is not a statement about the exact spot you are standing on.

You are responsible for your own decisions. Always check official weather alerts and local regulations, assess actual conditions on site, consider your equipment and your boat’s capabilities, and use your own judgment before and during any trip.

No guarantees

We do not guarantee safety, that any water is open, accessible, or passable, that the Service or any data remains available or uninterrupted, that you will catch fish, or any other particular outcome from using the Service.

Acceptable use

Use the Service lawfully and reasonably. You may not misuse it: do not attack, disrupt, or overload the Service; do not probe, scan, or attempt to bypass security, access controls, rate limits, or paid-feature restrictions; do not bulk-scrape the Service or harvest it with disruptive automation; and do not use its content unlawfully.

Free and Plus features

Fishing Weather offers a free tier and may offer an optional paid tier (Plus). The features included in each tier, and their availability, may change over time; the paywall shown in the app is the current description of what Plus includes.

Subscriptions and purchases

Where Plus is enabled, subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android, and the purchase is handled by that store. Prices, renewal terms, and any trial are the ones shown to you in the store’s purchase screen at the time of purchase. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in the store you bought from. You manage and cancel your subscription through your account with that store, and refunds are subject to that store’s rules.

A subscription bought on the App Store and one bought on Google Play are separate purchases handled by separate stores; we cannot promise that a purchase on one store can be restored or transferred to the other. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Third-party data and services

The Service relies on third-party data and services — weather and environmental data providers, the app stores, and on Android the Google maps, places, and messaging services described in our privacy policy. Third-party data and services may be delayed, interrupted, or inaccurate, are governed by their own terms, and may change or end without us being able to prevent it.

Community fishing reports

If you submit a community fishing report or photo, the separate community submission terms apply to that submission in addition to these terms.

Intellectual property

The Service — its design, text, and the verdicts and reads it generates — belongs to Fishing Weather or its licensors and is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. Third-party data remains subject to its own providers’ rights and terms. You may not copy, republish, or resell the Service or its content beyond what the law allows.

Changes, suspension, and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We may also suspend or end access for anyone who misuses the Service or breaks these terms.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose — to the extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, Fishing Weather is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made or actions taken based on the Service — including decisions about going out on the water.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision; continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
